This morning started out to be a bad day. I didn’t sleep well at all last night, forgot my kids name tags halfway to school so I had to turn around and go back home to get them (I live 30 minutes from the school), got turned around while looking for a house I had to be at to pick up some clothes, and then I was almost back home when I realized I forgot to pay my cell phone bill and my phone was temporarily shut off. So I had to turn around and head to another town over 30 minutes away to go pay it. So, needless to say, I did not get back to my house until almost 10:30 am and I still have a million things to do before I have to go to pick up this afternoon. Now, normally, when I have bad days like this, that’s it and my day is ruined. I just let the bad things that started my day out consume the rest of my day. I know alot of you do that too. I see it and hear it all over the place. But finally I come to ask myself…. why? Why do I always look at it as bad things instead of finding the good in it. For example, I may not have slept good, but at least I didn’t oversleep. I may have had to turn around this morning, but I still got the kids to school on time. I may have gotten lost this morning, but on a good note, I picked my daughter up some really cute shirts for a cheap price. My phone was shut off for a short time, but at least something told me to stop and get gas so I had plenty to drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction and it definitely taught me to not procrastinate. Bad things that happen throughout the day do not have to consume your whole day and ruin it. Seek out the good and try and figure out what god was trying to teach you, or protect you from. As long as you keep your eyes focused on him, it will all be ok. Check out my newest song “To God be the Glory” I hope you all have a blessed week!
