Running Low on Gas?

Have you ever near about ran out of gas? For instance, driving down the expressway, not knowing where and if a gas station is, then your fuel light comes on and you’re like “please lord please! Let me find a gas station soon!” I have done that alot! I’m one to press my luck with my fuel levels. Actually, just yesterday evening, I was in town getting groceries. My kids were with me. Town was CRAZY! It was a mad house. I got frustrated and decided to wait and get gas on the other side of town, its normally not as busy and it’s cheaper too. Well, little did I know, there was not one, but two wrecks on the expressway. As soon as I get stopped at the first one, ding ding ding…..there goes my fuel light. (Insert nervous sigh/giggle). I was stuck in the left lane, and NO one would let me over to get off on the two exits we passed. (Insert a few choice words) We weren’t far from were I had to get off at, but we were at a standstill for a while, and stop and go, stop and go. I drive a Tahoe so gas goes pretty quick. Well, I called my husband and gave him a heads up just in case he needed to try and come to my rescue. I couldn’t turn around in the median because traffic was just as bad going to other way. The only thing I could do was pray and trust the lord would get me safely to a gas station BEFORE I ran out of gas. And that’s just what he did. We got through all that mess, got off on our exit, stopped and got gas and made it home. I was irritated at the time, but all I could think about was, it’s my fault, I should have got gas before getting on the expressway. It’s going to be ok, it could be you in these wrecks. The lord is always there to see us through whether we realise it or not. How many times have you yourself ran out of gas or was running on empty. I’m not talking about in your vehicle, I’m talking about you! Running on empty and ready to crash out and give up. It’s the same thing, pray. The lord will give you the strength or the little “extra gas” you need to finish your task. Trust in him! You’ll make it!
