I was driving home from picking my kids up from school, I glanced out of the passenger window, and there he was. This beautiful hawk. He was soaring and gliding, wings open wide. Absolutely beautiful. He stayed around the same speed of the truck, I slowed my speed some to point him out to the kids. Then, all of a sudden, a car comes whizzing around me. Keep in mind, we are on some country backroads, not in city limits. It caught me off guard, but then I wondered, in his hurry did that person even see this magnificent creature I was trying to point out to my children. People are always in such a hurry. In the mornings, on the way to school, I am being passed like I’m standing still, only for is to arrive at the same spot around the same time. Not only in commutes, people are in a hurry with life in general. Everything is such a rush that you forget to enjoy the beauty. SLOW DOWN! Enjoy the little things. Time passes by fast and before you know it, you will have missed so much.
