High School Writings

I was going through some old papers and found these poems I wrote in High School and thought I would share. Hope you enjoy.

Out of Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall,
Summer is my favorite of all.
No School,
no rules,
and nothing to do.
You can go anywhere you want to go,
do anything you want to do.
You can go to the beach and get a tan,
build a castle in the sand,
or visit all your family and friends.
The worst time of all is when summer ends.
But at least next year it will be here again.

You’re my angel, that watches over me
You’re my sunshine, on a cloudy day
You’re my mind, that helps me think
You’re my conscience, that tells me right from wrong.
You’re my everything.

You’re my blanket, that keeps me warm
You’re my protector, that keeps me away from harm
You’re my teardrop, that runs down my face
You’re my life, that makes me live
You’re the air that I breathe
No one can take you away from me
You’re my everything.

You’re my rainbow, across the sky
You’re my hopes and my dreams
You’re my success that makes me succeed
You are and forever will be
My everything.
