Isn’t it frustrating at times when your kids walk past their daddy to ask you to get them something while you are in the shower or on the potty? As if you’re the only one in the house that can do anything.
How about bedtime, when you are completely spent, and they want one more bed time story or lullaby. All you want is to see the inside of your eyelids, but you do it anyways because you love them.
When your kids are out of school and it looks like a tornado has plowed through your house. It doesn’t matter how much you clean or pick up, every time you turn around there’s ANOTHER pair of underwear on the back of the couch, or more toys scatter throughout the house.
Your 5 year old throwing a tantrum in the middle of the floor, only because supper is seriously almost ready and they want a piece of candy because they are dying of starvation. You are literally making the plates, and they had an afternoon snack, but that just isn’t good enough.
Bath time! Oh the never ending bath time. Your kids been in the tub for 45 minutes, only for them to tell you they still haven’t bathed yet. It’s already passed bedtime and you still have one more to get into the bath tub.
Oh and how about suppertime. One day out of the blue their favorite meal, that has been their favorite meal for as long as you can remember, all of a sudden becomes disgusting. It doesn’t matter how bribery through desert, extra t.v. time, nothing you say makes them change their minds to eat.
Saturday mornings are my favorite! NOT! All week, you struggle to get your kids out of bed by 6:30 to get ready for school. But, leave it to Saturday and they are up at 5 AM ready to start the day.
The struggle is real. Morning times, bed times, nap times, eating times, bath times, play time, all the time. Life with little’s can be rough and demanding. But, EMBRACE IT! Before you know it, your little’s will be older, back talking you, and know longer “needing” you. Your house will be super clean all the time, and the silence will most likely be deafening. EMBRACE every little moment you can, because in one blink, they will be grown. EMBRACE IT!
