A few years ago, I woke up on a Monday morning feeling miserable, tired, and just down right blah and unhappy. I had been having a hard time getting and staying motivated. My house began winning the battle of clean over not. I was just overwhelmed….. period.
Then I remembered a friend who had posted on facebook about this vitamin product that gave you natural energy and well, I know you’ve seen all the mlm sales pitches on social media so I don’t have to go into that. I talked with my husband and decided to give it a shot.
Long story short, I LOVED it. I didn’t have a hard time getting going in the mornings, I had clean energy all day, I stayed motivated. My husband even decided to give it a whirl and he loved it as well. But as all things like this go, we used the product for about 6 months, then we were no longer able to afford it, so we stopped taking it.
Of course, as you can imagine, we were bummed. We made comments here and there of how we missed it. But, that was the end of it.
Now, let me tell you another story. I have always been a God’s girl, but these past couple of years I have gotten closer to him. I pray every day, multiple times a day. I read the bible with the kids, and well you get the picture.
One day, I woke up realizing I didn’t miss those “magical vitamins” anymore. I was just plain out happy, motivated, and chasing my dreams. I had started becoming more organized and staying on top of things. (Fot the most part, we all have crazy, busy, unmotivated times regardless)
That’s when I realized, you don’t ever need a “magical fix” for anything. The only thing you need is the holy spirit.
I’m not trying to bash any mlm business. All I’m saying if we would quit chasing the “quick fix” and focusing on the only one who can truly meet our needs, think of how much happier you could be. When you are tired, grumpy, weak, bow your head and give it all to the Lord. Then lift your head with a smile and know that he’s got you. Seek the lord with all thy heart.
“Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. “2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10
