Over the past month, 2 young men took their own lives in my area. They both left behind a child and family that loved them. I don’t know them personally, but I know friends of their’s that shared about them.
Looking at their social media pages, you never would have even known they were struggling.
They both shared posts about future events that they looked forward to, that’s what everyone saw. Not their emotional pain that led them to feel that was their only way out.
Just because someone looks happy, smiles all the time, or seems like they have it all together, doesn’t mean they do.
Everyone has their own different struggles.
Some may be struggling financially.
Some may be struggling with relationships.
Some may be struggling with addictions.
Some struggle with insecurities.
Some are struggling with all of the above.
You never know what someone else is going through. Check on your friends and family. Be kind to your friends and family. Don’t criticize your friends and family.
An attitude you have towards them may be the breaking point, and you never realized they were close to a breaking point. Love everyone and remember, you don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors.
Ps… this is not ment as a blame game, this is a reminder to be kind to others.
