The Spider Web

My world consists of the saying “if it’s not one thing, it’s another. Total truth. For instance, we finally get our lawn mower fixed, now the blades are shot. One of my horses finally recovers from a hoof abscess, then another one ends up with some crazy skin issue. It’s always like we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, only to be pushed back down to the bottom. I finally get one thing going good and a million others fall apart. I truly can’t win for losing most times.

I use to get so frustrated and aggravated at what seems to be a never ending cycle. I would almost fall apart and bury myself deeper down with a negative attitude. But not anymore. It’s much easier to embrace the struggles and trust that God will get you through them. The Lord never said we wouldn’t struggle, all though it would be nice if we didn’t. The Lord knows we will struggle, but he wants us to trust in him and not dwell on the hard times.

Too many times we quit, because it gets too hard and we are just done. But why quit? So what if we get knocked down, so what if it gets hard at times. The outcome of what we were born to do and created to do, heck just existing is so much greater than quitting.

Take note from the spider for instance, how many times does it weave a beautiful web only to have someone come knock it down. Does the spider just give up and stop making webs? If it did, I recon it would starve….

Can you see the web?
